The La Soufrière volcano erupted today, April 18th 2021 at 4:49pm. LaSoufriere's ash cloud is now drifting to the west and southwest, with the volcanic ash emission reaching as high as 8 kilometers on the Leeward side of St. Vincent.

According to the University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre (UWI SRC) and St. Vincent and the Grenadines National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO), the La Soufrière Volcano has explosively erupted yet again, as of 4:49 PM Sunday 18th April 2021. NEMO has advised that ash clouds are moving towards the south and west of the island.
The Washington DC Volcanic Ash Advisory Center has issued a Volcanic Ash Advisory, showing one ash cloud up to 7,000 feet, moving to the west at 15 knots with ash extended up to 15,000 feet, moving to the southwest at 10 knots.
